My ability to identify the need of the community, study social problems and develop projects based on evidence has been enhanced as an outcome of developing a community funding proposal. By studying issues related to gambling in Fairfield LGA and employing acaemic research and statistical data from statistics to acknowledge financial, psychological and social effects on society, i was enabled to improve my community needs study abilities. my ability to identify service gaps and offer practical solutions that meet community demands has been enhanced as an outcome of this experience.
In addition, I improved important abilities in assessing whether activities fit with their interests and exploring possible funding institutions. As an example, by helping early seeking assistance, and promoting to avoid harm, our campaign of multilingual gambling awareness was built to fulfil the aims of the fund of NSW Responsible Gambling. I improved critical thinking, communication, and project planning skills throughout the process, which will definitely apply in the future.
